καλέω (kaleo) is the greek word translated as "called." Christians are the called. Our calling is through Christ. We are called to live for Jesus and to preach the gospel. The apostle Paul wrote, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,”(Ephesians 4:1)
